School Terms and Evaluations

The school academic year is divided into two terms:

  • Term I: April 1st to September 30th
  • Term II: October 1st to March 31st

There are two long holiday breaks during the year:

  • Summer holidays are from April 21st to May 31st
  • Winter break is from December 22nd to January 1st

Under the CBSE curriculum, we follow the CCE pattern of evaluations for classes I through X. For Class X, there is an option to take the final exam (SA2)

Term 1:

  • FA1 – 10% (April and June)
  • FA2 – 10% (July and August)
  • SA1 – 30% (September)

Term 2:

  • FA3 – 10% (October, November and December)
  • FA4 – 10% (January and February)
  • SA2 – 30% (March)

Curriculum and Courses

CLASS I – X

  • LANGUAGES:
    • Class I to V: All the languages like English, Hindi and Tamil will be given equal importance.
    • Class VI to X: From VI the child will be allowed to choose, either Hindi as second language and Tamil as third language or vice versa.
  • MATHEMATICS
  • SCIENCE/ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE (EVS)
    • For classes I to V – Environmental Science
    • For classes VI to X – Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • SOCIAL SCIENCE
    • For classes VI to X
  • COMPUTER SCIENCE &TECHNOLOGY

CLASSES XI & XII

At the senior secondary level, student can choose the following courses :

  • English and any four subjects from the following list:
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Biology
    • History
    • Geography
    • Political Science
    • Economics
    • Fashion studies
    • Business Studies
    • Accountancy
    • Computer Science

This framework is very flexible and allows parents and students, with the guidance of faculty, to create their own course structure and path to success.
